Voice Description

Having being heavily influenced by the likes of Mel Blanc and Daws Butler at a very early age, I have spent most of my life dedicated to learning how to manipulate my voice in various manners. I have a unique voice in the way that I am able to produce well over 100 different characters and dialects. I say "over 100" since I am basically creating a new voice on a weekly basis, so I lost count years ago! They range from the wild and cartoonish needed for animation, to the warm and fun spokesman for commercials, and to the smooth and edgy needed for narration. I am especially proficient at character voices and impressions ranging from Barney Fife to Bugs Bunny.

My Voice Experience

I grew up on stage, so I have spent my entire life dedicated to creating new characters. Most of my experience revolves around the stage (especially Musical and Children's Theatre) because of this. I have played a vast assortment of charcters in well over 50 productions. Recently, I have provided over 30 voices for an upcoming animated film titled "The Champion" and have done some dub work for HBO's Real Sex series. Currently, I am providing a few character voices for an animated film titled "Alyce in Urbanland" that is in development.

My Training

Besides my own life long training of learning to control my voice on my own, I have taken voice over classes back home in Birmingham, AL with Marie Prater, and in New York City with Steve Harris, Marla Kirban Voiceover, and Hynden Walch. All instructors trained me in the areas of Animation, Commercial, and Narration in a studio setting both by myself and with other actors.

My Studio Equipment

I currently use and ECM mic and Audacity to record. I do plan to add more to my studio in the future once funds allow! however, I do have friends that have better studios that I have access to as well!

Additional Skills

All in all, you will find that I am dedicated to my craft. This has been a passion and dream of mine since a very early age. I am always prompt and professional, willing to work hard, and absolutely love to "play" with a role and see where I can go with it. Simply put, whatever type of voice you need, I can do it. If I can't, I can learn it quickly!
