My Voice Experience

Best known for Athens Georgia 92.3 FM "the Bridge" and subsequent radio and television commercial work in Georgia market. News Director and On-Air jock mid-1990's. Heavily featured in the "I am 99X" promotions in Atlanta. Trained at WMUL FM at Marshall University in mid-1980's. Did series of Cable TV commercials and promos in Athens.
Best Documentary, WV 1987. Appeared on KBAI Los Angeles and WBAI New York early 1990's.

Assistant Sound engineer, RIALTO Theater, Atlanta. Sound engineer, Cathedral of St. Philip, Atlanta. Mixing board, EQ, track sweeps, digital and analog tape editing, mixing over "beds". Bachelors and Masters degrees from Georgia State University. Summa cum laude. Presented conference papers at Cambridge, Massachusetts; Virginia Tech; University of Georgia; Lake City College, Florida; OAH Atlanta; Johns Hopkins, Maryland. Keynote speaker, DeKalb Bar Association 2007. Chairman, DeKalb County Historic Preservation Commission 2007-2009. Graduate school debate seminars and chairing the public board meetings widened my range and style and improvisational thinking at the mic.

My Studio Equipment

Ran mixing boards for Fulton County School performances with full cast and orchestra pit, assisted sound production of Rialto Theater Artists Series 2001-2003, and remedied sound issues in the cavernous Episcopal Cathedral on Peachtree Street 2004-2006. Worked with touring soundmen and 'pinned the sweeps'. Learned some basic techniques from David Barbe and other recording artists in Athens, Ga. IATSE Union on-call at Fox Theater and RIALTO theaters in Atlanta as electrician and carpenter. Assistant Stage Manager, general Sound and Lights stage and studio experiences from 1984-present.
