Voice Description

I'm a native New Yorker with a voice like peanut butter on velvet. I've got a bass voice that's deep, rich and theatrical, and I've got a lifetime of classical theater and voice training, but I've also been a rap artist and the singer in a punk band. I can do Voice-Of-God, overcaffeinated eXtreme sports fan, and anything in between-- funny and warm, young and sarcastic, earnest, glib, impassioned, casual, upbeat, authoritative, paternal, neighborly, intense. Also character voices, radio imaging, and classical Announcer bombast.

My Training

Started acting onstage at age six, studied theater rigorously through college. Extensive voice training. Recorded rock and rap albums. Did college radio, was presenter of a television show, "MP3TV", on London’s Network of the World. I’ve also been a magazine editor and art-gallery director.

My Studio Equipment

I use a Sure KSM27 Cardioid Condenser Microphone with an M-Audio Fastrack Pro USB interface w/ Preamps. I record using various software suites depending on the job-- I like Sonar, Steinberg Wavelab, and Sony Soundforge. Once I've tracked the copy, I edit using Adobe Audition.
