Voice Description

My voice has been described as "sexy," soothing, and commanding - yet full of fun. It's perfectly suited for both narration and commercial work. As a marketing and advertising company owner, I have the experience to know what directors and producers need from their voice-over talent. I enjoy what I do and am very easy to work with. Clients have always commented that I know how to professionally get projects completed in a timely manner.

I've also performed professionally with my banjo around the country for many years. I've recorded 14 CDs with different bands and was elected to the American Banjo Hall of Fame in 2009. From those experiences, I've become very comfortable in front of a microphone.

My Voice Experience

I voiced commercials for two of my marketing clients in the 1990s - Mary's Pizza Shack and Santa Rosa Auto Parts. At the time, I was working with tight client budgets so recorded copy myself at a local radio station. The commercials worked so well, I continued to voice commercials and taglines for these clients for a number of years.

After a successful marketing/advertising career and an equally successful music career, timing was right to do quality voice-over work again.

My professional career began in marketing. I was marketing director of a community bank for six years before starting my own marketing and advertising company. My marketing company has been in business over 20 years.

During the same time period, I played and sang professionally with my banjo, recording 14 CDs with a variety of bands. I was elected to the American Banjo Hall of Fame in 2009. As part of my banjo career, I have written and published three books to date.

Because of this total experience, I know how to follow a project through from start to finish in a timely and professional manner. I know the "ins and outs" of both the commercial and audio aspects of the recording business.
