My Voice Experience

I have done radio spots for various learning centers in Philadelphia PA. I have done television voice over work for Stillman and Friedland Attorneys in Nashville, TN. I have recorded narrations for theater productions, as well as provided character voice work for a MLK documentary produced by the Scarritt-Bennett Educational Center in Nashville. I have also provided character voices for video games and video game demos for European video game companies.

My Training

I have not had any formal training in voice over work, however I am an actor by profession and do a lot of theatrical work, and I also instruct several fitness classes. Both occupations have helped me develop a strong and commanding voice.

My Studio Equipment

I have a home based "studio" consisting of a quiet room, a computer, a microphone and sound recording/editing software. My setup is great for delivering a raw but clean audio file that can be tweeked by a professional audio engineer if necessary. Both of my audio demos were done completely by me using only my equipment (sound effects, background music and all). I do have access to more professional studio equipment via several friends, but I'm not sure what type of equipment they possess.

Additional Skills

I've been acting in film and theater for several years now and have had to use my voice in many different ways especially when on stage. I have also been teaching cardio kick boxing classes for several years and have learned to use my voice to grab people's attention, and occasionally to get people to shut-up when need be, and I do it WITHOUT using a microphone! After being told many, many times that I should start doing voice over work, I finally said "OK".
