Voice Description
After 20 years of doing both radio and ad agency VO's six days a week....I have developed the capacity to do virtually ANY type of spot or long-form read. Am extremely easy to work with, very flexible (especially in that sometimes "sticky" area known as re-do's) and for me it is all about pleasing the client/agency.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I have so much "regular" work that I don't get into characters.
My Voice Experience
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G (!!) from the very upbeat.....to political candidate ads....to extremely low-key and soothing deliveries for upscale jewelry stores....to "down-home" and folksy spots for the State Fair of Virginia.....to medium-paced and "regular delivery" spots for restaurants....to long-form corporate narrations (such as #1 on my list here, for Rubbermaid). There is literally NO STYLE that I have not done....many, many times over the years!
My Training
I have a B.A. in Political Science and Speech from a college that is generally recognized as one of America's Top 25....the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My training came from actually being "in the trenches"....being on the air in Top-40, Album Rock and "Classic Rock" beginning at age 15. I did many LIVE spots during each daily show, then would read and produce whatever I was assigned when my show was over. Thirty years of laying down the voice track, choosing the appropriate music and/or sound effects, and then editing it all into 29 or 59 seconds.....SIX DAYS A WEEK.....was all the training I needed.
My Studio Equipment
My own in-home studio consists of a Mackie mixer, a dbx 286 pre-amp/limiter/de-esser/noise reducer, an Electrovoice RE20 mic, an M-Wave sound card, the highest-quality cables, Adobe Audition 1.5, and a HP Pavillion, 6 gig, 4 MB level-2 cache, 2.66 Ghz, RAID back-up system, CD/DVD/Blu-ray player and burner type computer with extremely accurate speakers. Therefore, my turnaround time is always less than 12 hours.
Additional Skills
I am a patient perfectionist...with three decades of spot production experience....having worked for such studios as Park Productions, Riddick Advertising and "In Your Ear" in Richmond, Virginia....(where I lived since 1982).
I'm also a pretty speedy and creative copywriter.
