My Training

My skills have been learned on the job at several radio stations in the Virginia and Delaware. I was able to ditch my regional accent early on, and found I have an ear for accents - so much so that I have to be careful NOT to come back at people over the phone with the same accent as they have..!! At the same time, I have listened for regional accents, and taught myself to mimic them when needed..

I sight-read well, can vary speed of delivery to fit into time allotted, take direction well, enjoy reading aloud (even to myself) - shaping words and phrases to enhance the message. I have a considerable singing range, from tenor (with practice) to baritone/bass.
