Voice Description

My voice is a flexible tool and my past work has seen me play characters of 12yrs through to 65yrs. It has an engaging quality combined with good diction and it sits presently in the middle-range, 30yrs to 50yrs. I have an array of accents including native Black Country but my everyday spech is RP.

My Voice Experience

I'm a former member of the BBC Radio Drama Company and also the BBC Radio school's Rep. In the 80's I helped run the Voice-Over agency "Chatterbox" with my late business partner. I have recorded and dubbed on Radio, Telephone, Film and TV.

My Training

I trained at the Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art and continued my voice education at the BBC where I was involved in classic broadcasts such as "The Lord Of The Rings". I have recently recorded a book for BBC Audio Books entitled "Tersias" by GP Taylor and am about to record a 6 part Cartoon series called "The Ains Team" playing a multitude of different characters.

Additional Skills

As I have already written, I used to run a V/O Agency called "Chatterbox" and throughout the 80's I recorded various jingle's and broadcasts for the BBC. I dubbed on Movies and recorded commercials for telephone use. I teach Voice and diction at several Performing arts Colleges including Laine Theatre Arts and CPA.
