My first voice-over project was a radio commercial for an HMO in Baltimore in early 2006. During that time, my wife was taking chemotherapy treatments, and she subsequently passed away in April 2007. During her illness and in the year since she died, I have not actively sought out any voice-over work. Last August, however, after they heard me on a demo disk called "Audios Amigos" distributed in the DC area by John Burr, a production company called Planet Vox hired me to narrate a 10-minute DVD relating to global warming that was distributed to Members of Congress and other parties involved with environmental issues.
I plan to retire from my day job in June 2007. I am available and eager to take on all the voice-over work that may come my way!
I took voice-over training from John Burr in Bethesda, MD in 2004. I have been interested in dramatic arts and music since I was in high school, and have been singing (baritone)in amateur musical productions and acting in plays in the Washington, DC area since 1994.
I'm in the process of establishing a home studio. I have an Audio Technica AT 3035 microphone with phantom power source and intend to use it to create MP3's on my Acer Aspire computer. Meanwhile, I have easy access to MetroVoiceMedia's studio in Bethesda, MD.
