My Voice Experience

My voice over experience has been varied, have done radio spots, commercial announcements, web videos, telephone answering messages, live master of ceremonies for events in business and churches, as well as monologues and introductions for special music presentations. Have performed as singer/musician in country rock band.

My Training

Attended two semesters of college classes at Long Beach City College for Broadcasting and Radio/TV production.

Also took five voice over courses at Del Mar Media Arts in Irvine California for on-camera teleprompting, radio and TV commercials, audio books and narrations, and character voices for animations.

My Studio Equipment

Own two (14 and 16 channel) Mackie Mixers, several microphones, dbx1-286 mic/vocal processor, and PA system, several computers, and a TASCAM 8 track reel deck. I use Adobe Audition 128 channel recording software to record and create voice overs and commercials saving those tracks to audio formats in WAV, MP3, or whatever files are needed by the client in my home studio. Can email audio files or send via FTP.

Additional Skills

I have worked in the I/T department for a Labor Union for 12 years as a programmer and Network Administrator in the computer/data processing center, so I am quite able to do whatever is necessary with computers.

Also performed in various bands (as lead guitar/vocalist ) on and off for 35 years. Own four guitars and play some keyoard, own two synthesizers (Korg & Roland) as well. Home studio is setup with midi computer system and Adobe Audition multi-track recording software.

Have provided Concert audio engineering and PA sound system services for grammy award winning acoustic guitarist Doug Smith in various southern California venues since 2005.

Am part of the audio/video engineering support team at my church.

Have provided acquisition, design, installation, and hardware and software support for all audio/video studio and WEB projects at my company since 2003.

As needed at my office, I also manage a 12 line automated "robo-dialer" calling system for my company, which calls thousands of phone numbers from a given list to play a phone message for those persons on the list when they answer. I record and engineer the audio messages, and occasionally they use my own voice for the outgoing message on those calling sessions.
