Dave puts that dynamic vocal range to work too - with more than 84 different voice characterizations (see the Experience section below). While a very few of Dave's characterizations are showcased on his demo, the rest of the list is much too long to include here.

Chances are very good that, if you can describe the voice you imagine reading your voice over script... Dave can re-create it for you from cartoon characters to regional voice accents, and even a few impersonations.

My Voice Experience

Dave grew up with Mel Blanc and Daws Butler as his childhood heroes (he was a little warped, even back then!) and started in voice work at an early age. His first radio gig came while still in high school, then professional radio, TV, narration and audiobook voiceover work helped pay the college tuition while majoring in Broadcast Management.

Dave's voice acting experience includes: on-air radio personality, radio and Television voice over, documentary narration, audio books (medical texts), corporate/industrial presentations and narration, computer/internet based training, flash video, podcasting, and virtual M/C. Acting experience includes stage performance, improv and radio plays.

After stepping away from the mic for a few years, Dave's Ba-a-a-ack and working a day job doing full-time voice work for a Fortune 100 company (Hey, gotta pay the mortgage). He's also put a couple audio books, television and radio commercials under his belt.

All kidding aside - Dave is a professional voice artist who gets the voice job done: quickly, efficiently and economically. But most importantly... to your satisfaction.

My Training

Dave has been a natural on stage and in front of a microphone since his early teens. He studied journalism and writing in a small, Pacific Northwest college in the late 70's then majored in Broadcast Management and a very UN-famous and UN-known university located somewhere in the Northwest. Dave has studied acting since junior high school, cinematography, and enjoys the challenges of improvisation. He has appeared numerous times on stage and behind the camera, but has been frequently told he has a great face for radio.

You know those broadcasting and voiceover classes you see advertised? Dave was teaching those, and college broadcasting courses, in the late 70's and early 80's. Several of his students are now enjoying successful voiceover careers (despite Dave's efforts).

Dave has a unique talent for writing effective scripts that communicate thoughts and ideas exceptionally well. Whether humorous commercials, documentary or corporate narrations or training programs, if you need help developing a concept or script he can help.

Now here's where it gets a little weird. While away from the microphone Dave earned a living as a truck driver, police officer, social worker, computer geek, and later managed an internal manufacturing business for a Fortune 500 company (NO-NOT AT THE SAME TIME).

In his spare time Dave enjoys spending time with his family and studying science (particularly physics and anthropology) and history (right now it’s the Revolutionary War).
