My Voice Experience

Previous jobs have included making scripted public announcements and answering front desk phones. At both jobs a number of people have told me that I have a "radio" voice. I have also been told by speech and language professionals that I should pursue a career in voice talent.

My Training

Working at Borders Bookstore I was trained to read and write sripts for public announcements including introducing musical acts, book signings and meetings. Additionally I was trained to answer and direct calls at the corporate office of a major engineering firm in Tampa. This included screening headhunters. Teaching me to be professional and confident in voice while guiding wanted and unwanted calls to the appropriate destination.
