Dialects that I am asked to do most commonly are High Brit, Cockney, Australian, Irish, Scottish, American Southern, German, French, Indian, and given a little time, whatever one you prefer for your project.
As for impersonations, I have been used as Christopher Lloyd, Joe Pesci, Jack Nicholson, John O'Hurley's "Mr. Peterman", Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush.
My Voice Experience
Darren fell into radio in 1994 while auditioning for acting work. He quickly began plying his acting and versatile voice skills to radio commercials and soon was writing ad copy from a performer's perspective.
At nearly the same time, while working on an industrial film as an on camera lead, he was approached by the Talent Group agency. He soon became one of their most highly requested voiceover actors respected for his versatility, speed, and professionalism.
Over the last 15 years, his voice been featured on thousands of local, regional, and national commercials, and non-broadcast projects. For years he has been the signature voice of Henry Ford Hospital and its affiliates in the Michigan area as well as #1 Cochran, the largest auto dealer in Pittsburgh.
He continues to regularly act on stage having played leading roles in over 25 Pittsburgh stage productions.
He is the star of Take Two Interactive Software's 1998 release of the interactive video game "Black Dahlia" featuring Dennis Hopper and Teri Garr. His voice has also been featured in other Take Two releases.
He currently holds the title of Creative & Production Director at WORD FM, Pittsburgh.
