Voice Description

Typically, my voice is delivered in a strong, vaguely intimidating fashion in a deep, Patrick Stewart-esque British accent. I'm presently at the very beginning of my voice career and the full ability of my voice is something I've yet to unlock and discover.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I'm capable of executing a variety of accents ranging from my native Queen's English/Received Pronunciation, to mild/thick Russian, to German, all regional British accents and American deep South, eg. Texas. All have been learned for the purpose of performing a particular character, and I expect to add many more accents and dialects to my resume as time goes on.

My Voice Experience

My experience thus far has been that of performing a wide variety of characters in mostly amateur projects, primarily in videogames, but also as voiceover for audiobook narration for a series of as-yet unreleased novels due in late 2011.

My Training

Currently, my formal training is minimal; my voiceover capacity has been developed purely through experience in co-ordination with a variety of amateur directors who each required the most out of my performance. In working with them, and being forced well beyond my comfort zone, I've developed both as a voice and as a human being. This is, for me, one of the most stimulating aspects of voicover, and it's a significant influence in my decision to spread out into other voiceover projects.

My Studio Equipment

My home-studio consists of a foam-insulated room equipped with a C03U Samson microphone. For sound editing, an area in which I have over 8 years of experience, I primarily use Adobe Audition and, where required, FL Studio and a vast assortment of plugins and utilities.

Additional Skills

Although my purpose here concerns my capacity for voiceover, I'm also a sound engineer - with significant experience - and a musician. I've completed a variety of videogame-related amateur sound design projects that have been exceptionally well-received, and am capable of processing, designing and creating audio as required. Sound is my life, and all of my talents are involved with it in some way or other.
