Voice Description
My voice has a wide range.
For straight voice over work it is a warm, baretone. Authoritaive but at the same time friendly. I'm easy to listen to but don't mistake that for boring. I know the craft of communicating ideas. This much different that reading words. Therein lies the difference between the true communicator and the reader.
My native accent is Canadian. Think of the late Peter Jennings or CNNs John Roberts. Middle of the road, with a spohisticated and crisp sound. As for dialects, I do them all from Brits, to Germans, East Indians, Chinese, French (Canadian and European). You name it I'll do it.
I draw the line at space aliens. Haven't heard an authentic one yet!

My Voice Experience
Started in radio at a small 500 watt station and over 33 years graduated to a national radio/TV broadcaster. I have worked as broadcast journalist/announcer/producer in both national radio and TV. I am skilled as a writer of commercial copy and have a nack for bringing the mundane to life. Imagination, imagination, imagination. That's the key to writing great copy. Thinking like the viewer/listener and meeting them where they are.
I run a successful video production company now. We do mostly corporate work. In understand the value of professional narration. In video sound is 70% of what you see!

Trained under Diane Simpson, classical voice coach Stratford Festival Theatre.
