My Training

A 13-year radio career followed by workshops, acting classes, voice lessons and a whole lot of on-the-job training. This *is* his day job.

My Studio Equipment

Studio equipment includes industry standards like Neumann, BLUE and Sennheiser microphones, Pro Tools for recording and editing, and processers from focusrite, Millennia, Purple Audio, Crane Song.... We really consider the quiet and accurate Colors Audio control room, designed by Michael Blackmer, to be a far more important ingredient than the gear, but the gear is here.

Additional Skills

Dan is the owner of Colors Audio, a full-service commercial recording facility in Akron, OH. As a voice talent, he is sought for his ability to clearly communicate complex technical material as well as emotionally-charged content. His experience "in the booth" helps him to direct other talent, and bridge the communication gap that sometimes exists between Producer and Talent.
