My Voice Experience

Worked in Radio for a number of years at a number of MOR and Rock radio stations across Canada and was voice over, commercial announcer, talk show host and finally Senior News Anchor at Hamilton Television for the past 38 years. I have done numerous Corporate V/O's and commercials for companies from Manulife Insurance,Chrysler, Trans Canada Pipelines, Shell oil and many others. Did the launch for Sinutab televison campaign. Also did all the training film voice overs for Stelco and Dofasco and many, many others over the years.

My Training

46 years in Broadcast both radio and televsion.
Taught Issues and Ethics at Mohawk College, was also involved with teaching Radio, Televison and jounalism and presentation at that same college. I owned my own recording company in partnership with a writer producer for 10 years. We wrote, shot and produced commercials, industrial and corporate videos, V/O's and music for several local bands.

My Studio Equipment

Right now I have an MP3 set up in my home office where I can do voice work of any kind. It is a professional USB system with a small mixer which gives much better voice quality.

Additional Skills

I have been very community involved for decades now. I am recently retired and working freelance. I have just completed my third year as Chairman of the United Way Fundraising Campaign. I am Ride Chair for several Motorcycle Charity Rides Annually. I have hosted the Mac Kids Celebration for the past 17 years raising millions for our childrens healthcare. I was recently Awarded the RTNDA Lifetime Achievment Award. I am a Paul Harris Fellow, was awarded the Hamilton Citizen of the Year in 2001, The Queens Golden Jubilee Medal and an honourary Broadcast Diploma from Niagara College where I delivered the Convocation Address, last year. I have horses, motorcyles and used to sail. I also golf, badly. I have also hosted several fundraising dinners featuring PM Margaret Thatcher, Gov. Mario Cuomo, Pres. George Bush Senior and 2 events with Pres. Bill Clinton, all for the Furan Foundation to raise funds for Hamilton Healthcare, courtesy of Morgan Firestone.
