My Voice Experience
Started in voiceovers back in 1995 when I wrote my first commercials for my demo tape. Since then I've done hundreds of on-hold messages for companies around the country, as well as commercials for clients here at the radio station I work for. I've done a few trade show demo videos and some naration for local PBS. I am the PA announcer for the Montana State Bobcats as well. I would love to do work for Pixar and Dreamworks and any production house that is doing kids shows. I have been writing commercial scripts for about 8 years now and voicing just as many. Put me to work for you!
My Training
Self taught really. Except back in 1996 when I hired a voice coach (Ray Van Steen) in Chicago. He gave me a few pointers for the $90 and hour but I didn't get much more than that. I was registered at 2 talent agencies in Chicago in 1998 - 2001 but didn't get alot of jobs. I have a DJ voice (hence the screen name "DJvoice1") and have done on air stuff for 3 years.
My Studio Equipment
I have a small studio in my home and produce many of the radio commercials for my clients. I have an $80 mic from Radio Shack that is plugged into a mixer that is connected to my computer. I use Adobe Audition 1.0 to mix and create mp3's.
