Voice Description
I have been told I have a southern accent, but can sound non-regional, like Walter Cronkite for short sentences.
For example, I can say, "THIS is Walter Cronkite!" and you'd think it was him, himself.
I used to sing soprano when I was a boy, but that voice turned into a tenor, but I can reach low notes, like Elvis and used to sound just like him. With a script, I could dub in for his voice.
Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, are two big names that I can imitate briefly.
Billy DeWolf was one of the characters whose voice I imitated for a high school play in which I played a prime minister. "Busy, busy, Busy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." is the sentence that puts me in the frame of mind to imitate him. Of course he is dead now, and I don't know of any other imitator.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
When I lived in Ohio, practicing a northern accent, I had a girl ask me if I were from New York.
Now I live in New Jersey, but have lived in Texas and can do a southern drawl. I also know how to talk like a
"hick" from West Virginia, which is a real trick unless you are from there, along with "hillbilly" talk, like,
"Lordy! Look who's here!"
(or from Grand Ol Opry, "Hot dang you'all I swear!"
(Say something else intelligent Elmer, "I swear, you all, hot dang!"
In some cases, I can also imitate Henry Kissinger, or a German Officer, like Sergeant Schultz on Stalag 17,
"Ja Wohl! Herr Commandant!" Or, "I know Nut-zink! Nut-ZINK!"
My Voice Experience
No experience. Just got the idea. But have am 57 years old and have been playing around with it for years.
