I have an authoritative voice, yet warm and friendly. Being an actor I also do voices for games and cartoons. I have recently completed the French version of the latest Wallace & Gromit game.

I am a native French speaker and always play the part of a Frenchman when recording in English, Italian, German, or Spanish.

My French is "International" I have broadcast to France, French Speaking Africa, Belgium and Switzerland. I am also regularly interviewed on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)and was a stringer for them for over 20 years.

My Voice Experience

I started as a newsreader for the BBC in the Seventies and started to work privately when I left in 1980. My clients are large multinationals and household names in the UK and the rest of the world.

My Training

Training at drama school in France and then working full time at the BBC French Service for 5 years.

I have become an authority on the subject of voice-overs and published a book called The World of the Voice-over in 2007.

I run workshops for budding talents and give lectures on this topic at Universities, in 2007 I went to Tripoli and Montreal and in 2008 I made presentations and run workshops at the Universities of Bath and Leeds in Great Britain. I have done two presentations for The Chartered Institute of Linguists in Liverpool at the end of September 2008.

I was also awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in 2007. Being very much involved and interested in languages I am now completing another book entitled: The Opening, An Autobiographical Journey to Learning Languages

Additional Skills

As I spend a lot of time recording myself, I have built a support team around me to translate the scripts when I do not have the time to do it myself. The added advantage is that these French nationals are skilled and knowledgeable in the subject concerned. I then revise their work to make it good to read.
