Voice Description

Now, about the "Whole-Grain Voice:" In addition to doing "traditional" VO work, with the full, resonant bass quality of my voice, I have the Unique ability to mimic Most male prerecorded announcements and "canned" recordings (I've tentatively calling this "Dan-O-Matic"). Family, friends and fellow airline colleagues tell me this, often. By the way, I'm also a Flight Attendant.

I think my extensive singing experience and acting skills play a big part in this, too. Though I am technically a Baritone, my range is just shy of 3 octaves! Another Unique quality of my Commercial delivery style is the "wrinkle" I incorporate into the read.

Oh, and my "Whole-Grain Voice" explanation? Well, we all know that consuming natural foods - like whole wheat and oats - is very good for our health. Unfortunately, whole grains aren't always so appetizing in their raw form. So, they're sent to the mill to be processed into the myriad of foods we enjoy.

My approach to Voice-overs can be likened to this same process. I take the whole copy in its "raw" form, and refine it using my MillVoice to produce the best end-product for the listener.
