I started my Voice Over business and wondered why I waited so long! I am currently employed part time as a middle school librarian and I use my VO talents in my local community for many businesses and theaters. I am even invited to read at our local elementary schools every year for Read Across America Day to read to the students. I also record many VO for the local theater company for their intros, where I customize the recording(voice and script) to match it according to their play/musical. I usually write my own script for these recordings as well. My children were my inspiration to pursue this amazing career and to this day my children, as adults, love to listen to my recordings or speak to them in my character voices. I do have theater experience; most recently in a small local theater group. I have been in a choir and toured with them for many years. I did my training with Lisa Foster and Such-a-Voice. I am continuing my VO training at Voice One and various Seminars throughout the US. I just completed a fantastic Acting workshop with the Berkley Repertoire Theater Dec. 1, 2011. I work in community theater in my area. I studied drama, choir, and sang for several years, as well as play musical instruments. I record in my home studio.I have a MAC, I use Adobe Audition and Pro Tools. I have a M-Audio Fast Track, a RODE NT1-A MIc and Sennheiser Headphones. My studio is new and always "under construction" as I will be making changes as I learn new and better ways to improve. I am very flexible and willing to travel if needed. I am finally in my dream job, where I have found my passion and I am ready to work. I have taken debate classes, speech classes, drama and choir. I am articulate and clear. I take direction well and have a clear understanding of acting, backstory, editing script, writing script. I am willing to work anywhere doing VO and hope to one day do work in animation. I feel that I have finally found my passion, where I fit in, using my unique tool...my voice.
