Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I have the ability to perform accents such as southern, english, russian, scottish, and various others. Although I'm not 100% with the different regions. My native sound is midwestern. I'm very good at adapting to whatever is needed upon hearing it.
My Voice Experience
Up to now, my experiences have been on stage and on screen. Most of the time I do accents people find it humorous because I like to go overboard with them. Such as most of the time I do Irish, people immediately mention Lucky Charms. I recently did a project where I was an owner of a cemetery who had been thrown in an asylum and forced to read Edgar Allen Poe poems for my treatment. No one could tell the voice was my own. That's usually my goal when doing any voice project, I like to not be recognized because I like to create something new and unique each time.
My Training
I originally earned a BFA in graphic design but have been working on mine and others projects in film, stage, and audio for the past 7 years. My training started with three years of Improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade, and then Magnet Theater. Since then I've been taking various workshops and classes to help me with scripted material. I find I learn something new on each project, which is something I plan to do each time. The main element of this genre of work that I appreciate is the collaborative environment that helps to create new and challenging work for myself, my colleagues, and the audience.

Additional Skills
As a Graphic Designer and Art Director, I've always been inspired by the voice and acting talent I've worked with in the world of Advertising. We always hire other people for these jobs, and I have to be honest, I always wanted to do it myself. I've done over 20 short films in the past year, which is an example of how hard I'm working at becoming one of the people I've always been responsible for hiring. So, maybe one day I'll inspire someone to do the same. :D
