My Voice Experience
My voice experience spans many forms of media. I have served as a Minor League Baseball play-by-play broadcaster for the last two years, as well as the voice of a Junior College football team and a respected University women's basketball program.
I recorded multiple commercial spots for companies advertising with the Minor League team, as well as automated phone system menus. In each of these cases, I created a professional digitally edited final audio track, and mixed down a portion of the recordings with background music on my own hard/software.
Prior to my sports career, I provided my voice to multiple college level film productions and video games in Northern California, ranging from work as a narrator and announcer to dubbed kung-fu comedic voices and arch-villains.
I am confident in my abilities, and deliver results in a style that immediately helps listeners connect with the team, medium or product in an intimate and personal manner.
My Training
My collegiate education was not in voice work, unfortunately, as I received a degree in Molecular Biology.
Immediately after achieving a B.A., I began taking classes part time in broadcast journalism at a local City College. I received Dual Certificate Degrees in Broadcast News and Broadcast Radio Production in just one year.
I also completed a rigorous 1-week course in sports broadcast style taught by professional broadcasters at the top level in their field (NHL, MLB, NBA, Los Angeles sports radio).
My Studio Equipment
I own my own Shure brand voice microphone, wind screen and stand, as well as my own analog mixer.
I am proficient in Adobe Audition audio editing software, which also includes various filters, a multi-channel editor and digital equalizer.
Additional Skills
I have worked under extremely strenuous conditions in a ridiculously competitive field, all the while maintaining a positive attitude. I consider myself extremely cooperative and amiable.
I work well with deadlines, and can succeed with or without instruction.
Also, I will outbid competition for a low-paying job because I love doing voice-over work and creating unique and entertaining projects.
