Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have a natural midwest American (a.k.a. Standard American) accent. I can perform in British (RP) and Cockney as well. I am an excellent imitator and can vocally mimic famous figures, cartoons etc. I have a deeper female voice so it lends itself well to villainous chracterizations.

My Voice Experience

In the midwest I worked with a talent agency (Roof Goener) that contracted me to read copy for a local website. They used it as narration for viewers when they logged onto the homepage. I have also recorded company voicemails and out of office messages.
In addition, I have recorded voiceover performances for theatrical productions. One was a radio show presentation of Dracula, which I played the lead role of Mina amongst others. I perfomed the dialogue as well as created various scripted sound effects vocally (ex: wolves howling, train whistle etc.)
In a touring children's play about learning to deal with grief I played the voice of the main character's Aunt which was recorded in a studio and cued to play during the climax of the show.

My Training

B.A. in Theatre with a focus on acting. Linklater, Lessac and Skinner training. Recently completed a 3 month class through NYU for TV and Commerical Voiceover techinque. The instructor was an experienced voiceover artist herself and also works as a casting consultant for companies seeking voiceover talent. We practiced and recorded commerical copy in a professional studio.
