Voice Description

My voice is a jack of all female trades. I can do sweet little child to bitchy teenager to wicked stepmother. I'm good at matching my voice to timing and interacting with others, even if I'm the only one in the booth. My voice is fun, energetic, honest, homey and sincere all at the same time. I aim to please my boss as well as the consumer so just try me out and see what I can do for you.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Shoot, fire, hell, and damnation! I am fluent in the Texan/Dixie drawl of the south. I say "ya'll" an' "ain't" plus those little exclamations such as "shoot, I've been busier than a one armed, paper hanger!" I've got the redneck stuff down plus I've been know to hold a pretty good British accent as well, ironically enough.

I can go from big, loud and in charge to meek and timid in less time than a cheetah can catch a meal so just ya'll wait an' see what all I can do, ya'hear?

My Voice Experience

I've always enjoyed animation, ever since I was a kid. As such I've always wanted to see just how close I could get: how close to Ariel's (Little Mermaid)voice could I sing or what all accents could I copy?

I'm big into those Japanese animation shows that's dubbed over in English too. I've even met a few and gotten their autographs. But one of my biggest things is the radio. I love it to death, always wanted to be a host or something like that on TV, that and play great music and give away free stuff; such a job would rock my socks off.

On an average day I'm a pretty soft spoken person, very easy to talk to and work with, or so I'm told, and I try to please everybody as much as I can, not wanting to finish a project until I think it's perfect (or my boss says, "you've been here two hours overtime, GO HOME.") Now don't get me wrong, being soft spoken doesn't mean I can't play the pissy little snob or the evil villain, in fact those are the jobs I'd love to do because one, they're not the kind of jobs people expect from me and two, that'd would test just how good I am or how much I suck at voice overs.

So please, give me a chance, I'm trying to put myself through college and this would be something I'd love to do.

My Training

I've been in choir since I was in middle school, making to regionals twice, once in 2001 for the treble choir and again my sophomore year in high school in the honor choir. I've also had private voice lessons so I know how to articulate.

I was also offered the job of radio head if my local community college ever got together a college radio show, although the offer was unofficial.

I have a good visual and musical memory; also I can see the big picture with just a few pieces of the puzzle and I know when something's out of tune.

My Studio Equipment

I know to speak into the mike and do whatever the boss tells you to do, although I love to learn and ask questions to see if I can make whatever I'm doing a little easier and a lot better.

Additional Skills

I like to make people laugh, but know when to be serious and focused.

I can keep it light or make it dark.

I can do sweet or sour, good or evil, loud or soft.

I am your voice, chickadee.^^
