My Voice Experience
My background is in telephony security and financial administration which is how my voice became the voice of the product at one point ... customer reaction was so positive, they asked me record prompts internally for the Department of Foreign Affairs in Ottawa, for a large international bank among other government and financial institutions.
My Training
My voice training has been on the job with much respected help from the Susan Berkley website. Susan's tips and vocal cues and warm ups have been much appreciated as have requests to work on new IVR systems since my departure from the telephony software world.

Additional Skills
Given my primary role of administrator with a view to success in voice-enabled applications, the script is all-important. User awareness is key to the applications' success and my writing and/or editing talent has been employed for most recording work I've been involved with in the past.
I'm a Mom. Moms understand stuff and further, Moms convey that understanding in their communications. My kids are all grown up. Which is cool, 'cause I now have the time to address last minute voice work, eleventh hour script changes and, perhaps, time to become known as an adaptable team-oriented voice talent.
