Voice Description

My voice reflects my New England childhood and education. However, I have traveled around the world (Europe, Korea, Japan, P.I., etc.) and tend to have an "unidentifiable" non-accent.

I am comfortable conversing in fields ranging from child advocacy to technology. I have worked in the fields of education, training, media development, military, child welfare, juvenile justice, court advocacy. My recreation - SCUBA diving, kayaking, biking, gardening, woodworking, sandlot sports - can also be reflected in my playfulness.

My Voice Experience

In addition to the activities mentioned above, I currently work at a call center and have been asked to make numerous recordings for their IVR.

Prior to that, at a university position, I would write, perform and edit training videos covering everything from courtroom behavior to aggression control management. We created videos to supplement the training we provided to mental health workers, child protection investigators and parents.

My Training

My first college degree was in Cable TeleCommunication with a focus on production. After serving in the military (Weapons Control RADAR on the F4 and Systems Analyst), I earned additional degrees in Psychology and Journalism.

My experience at the Call Center provided me with the skills needed to record voice mail greetings and announcements.

Additional Skills

My experience as a behavioral analyst while working at a Mental Health Center at a Florida University, taught me how to break tasks down into measurable and teachable events. Creating a message needs to be done in the same way - after confirming that the text is not only easy to understand but hard to misunderstand, my pacing, voice tone, inflections and pitch help deliver the intended message.
