As I have just begun this type of work, I have only a few experiences. One of them was actually at a church where I did dramatic readings for Good Friday services. I was recently on a Christian radio station morning show with a relative. In the past (way way back!) I helped produce slide shows and did the narration for them. I have always been told that I have a wonderful voice and should go into radio.
My college education includes a two year associate degree in business, and continuing ed classes at The University of Toledo where I majored in secondary education. I was working towards my bachelor's in education. Although I have no education in voice overs, I observed a local morning show to see how everything works.
I have access to a radio station where I can record my voice and edit it, save it and email the file.
I worked in an office for many years where I spent many hours talking on the phone and dealing with people. I enjoy talking! I have also been singing for many years with different groups and feel this is also to my advantage as I can use my voice in many different ways. I am truly excited
to start this new career.
