My Voice Experience

I worked in radio for 20 years and during that time, I was able to learn many different styles of voice over production. I was able to use the warm sound of your basic DJ without the forceful tone many use today. During my 20 years in radio, I also produced many commercials and skits for on-air. I did warm and cozy for mattress sellers, romantic for valentine's specials, excitement for auto-dealers, silly voices for carpet sales, old cowboy style for a Chili cooking convention. For our local video rentals and theatres I did movie trailers for action, horror, suspense, comedy, romanctic comedy and drama. Many scripts which required "acting" where I addressing to listner one to one were very popular. I also did many impesonations for skits during my morning radio show.
I have also done voice over for medical companies, small airports and logging companies which they used for their phone systems when a customer was on hold.
I have done voice over production for automated phone surveys and for a carpet shampoo business' website.

My Training

I have a B.A. in elementary Education from the University of Wyoming so I know how to read stories with emotion and make them exciting for children. I took a correspondence course on newspaper reporting. I also took media classes from the University of Wyoming and from Eastern Wyoming College where I hosted a radio show about the college community. This required interviews and editing.

My Studio Equipment

I have my own studio with the "Cool Edit" system installed on my computor. This allows me to not only edit out parts, put to record different channels and combine them. It is this system I also use to do production which may require me to do two different voices in the same spot, or even sound like two different people having a converation.
I also have the "Winzip" system to make the produced audio easier to e-mail.
