Voice Description

For narrative type works my voice is deep and calming. It plays naturally as part of the scene, but when Narration is needed in times of panic and angst, my voice is striking and purposeful.

For characters it breathes life into them, making them charming, clever and wise. It tends to give a sense that the character knows something that others do not.

For commercials My voice ranges from the novice stutter, to the overused Yoda. Variety in voices allows for more characters in the audiences imagination.

I speak spanish, as a second language and I am able to imitate a native speakers accent seamlessly.

My Voice Experience

If doing impressions of James Earl Jones when I should have been paying attention to the professor is experience than i'm chocked full of it.

I've played off stage voices in plays that have ranged from GOD, to an elephant call to Chewbacca.

I'm able to do that becuase i've got good ears. I'm a musician, and sound variations have always come naturally to me, but professionally. . .

. . . this is where I begin.

My Training

8 years of music training with the clarinet and tenor saxaphone where pitch and sound are key. If you cannot listen, than you will sound like a fool.

Various plays where throughout highschool and college where intonation was key. Many roles I had were narrator and or off stage voices.

2 years of Slam poetry, where I've been on stage reciting poems to audiences. You must be loud clear and captivating, otherwise they might as well read your workds. Because of one of my on campus performances I was asked to appear in a trailer for a television pilot that did not air.

I've taken classes in writing for radio televison and film, I was a radio DJ for on campus radio station at the University of the Ozarks in AR.
