My regular speaking voice is young, fun, and enthusiastic. I can also easily switch to a more professional voice for narrations, presentations, documentaries, etc. I'm most interested in narrations, animations, documentaries, audiobooks, and related projects. I'll also consider advertisements. I'm particularly enthusiastic about socially responsible businesses and organizations, especially those dedicated to sustainability and wellness. My biggest passions are languages, cultures, and travel-related industries.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

My accent is native to the North American Midwest, specifically, I grew up in Iowa, but when traveling abroad, I am often mistaken for Canadian or Californian. I also speak French (I have a B.A. degree with French as one of my majors), and I have been trained in proper phonetical pronunciation. I imagine my Americanized accent is still detectable, but it is difficult for me to adequately judge that for myself. I do not, however, feel comfortable performing a French accent when speaking in English. That's not one of my strong points.

I can do various cutesy type voices that I just make up on my own. I suppose they may be suitable for animations and other similar projects.

My Voice Experience

I grew up in performing arts. I have a lot of local acting experience from my childhood, and after graduating from university, I appeared in a few independent films and a television show. None of this was voiceover work, however. I mostly do small jobs for private parties that encompass much more than merely audio work. I work in all types of multimedia. I have advanced web design and coding skills, exceptional writing and editing skills, and proficiency in photo and image editing. Video and audio editing are also on my list.

My Studio Equipment

I do all of my work on a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo. I use either GarageBand or Logic Express for recording and editing. This is usually just for my own personal work and projects for individuals. I can also use a local professional studio (where my demo was recorded) for jobs that require a soundproof room and more advanced equipment.

Additional Skills

I've been a language tutor, writer, and editor. I am fluent in standards-compliant XHTML, CSS, and XML. I'm also fairly good with PHP and SQL. I've installed, configured, and customized various CMS packages, including the design of original templates. I've also extensively studied nutrition and sustainability.
