Velvet with attitude, conversational, relatable,
My voice lends credibility to narration especially in the fields of health and education, smoothness and warmth when doing telephony copy, and a bit of reflection for inspirational pieces.
I enjoy having fun and being relatable with commercial copy when wit and/or sarcasm are needed. My voice can roll along smooth as oil when the copy insists. It's all a matter of interpretation.
I'm coachable and always willing to listen and to learn so the client walks away with what he really needs.

My Home Base
Dallas, Texas, United States
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I explore and can approach copy with different accents. Living in Texas most of my life, my Midwestern vocal patterns are neutral allowing me to not be "regional" to distraction. Yet through this exposure to a southern dialect, I've developed an ear for accents and dialects where I can "mimic" what I hear--especially when traveling abroad. So British, Scottish, Italian, and French with some Eastern European in the mix are tools I use to craft unique characterizations with my voice.
My Voice Experience
As a certified wellness consultant I'm adept at working copy with medical jargon and concepts. Running a martial arts school keeps me in touch with the fitness crowd as well.
I took voice over classes with a practicing voice over artist in the Dallas, Texas area. He exposed me to the fine art of voice over and to the microphone. We worked together in classroom settings and he helped me grew into my voices.
I continue working with Edge Studios who tutored me through additional online classroom settings, audition practices and one-on-one coaching.
I've worked with a new museum in San Antonio, Texas during 2013 providing them a voice for Susanna Dickinson's story at the Alamo. It was a driven and patriotic read.
My college degree is in the area of Natural Health. Through years of public speaking in the health arena, I determined voice over is additional venue for me to be the "voice" for others in my field or wherever a voice is needed. It's a time for stretching.
Drama and music have always been part of my life, but writing is also a passion when the drama sits quietly in a corner with music gently filling in the background.
As a naturally curious individual, I've questioned many ideas, notions and topics. Therefore, voice over suits my temperament well giving me opportunity to continue the exploration called "life".
