Although relatively new to voiceover work, I have years of experience as a singer of many genres (rock, opera, choral, country, pop). In the fall of 2012 I recorded a voiceover track in Latin American Spanish for an online training course for Chasse Consulting in Austin, TX. The client was a major software and hardware company, and the course will be used for training purposes all over Latin America.
I have choral and symphonic band performance experience. I know how to read music and have continued my vocal training at Texas Southmost College (two semesters) and in my three years singing with Tapestry Singers in Austin, Texas, as well as with its smaller auditioned ensemble group, Loose Threads. Tapestry Singers has held several vocal workshops, which I attended. I have also sung lead informally with friends in a local (Austin) band.
As a longtime writer, editor, and translator, I can provide editorial and language services. I am a native speaker of Spanish (Mexico) and have worked as a court interpreter, providing simultaneous and consecutive translation into and from Spanish. I am a creative writer capable of providing quality copywriting and copyediting.I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in French. I have also studied Italian and German, which is useful when singing opera and other classical genres.
