Voice Description

I offer a wide range of voices, from nasal and nerdy to the extreme of deep and gruff, what one might think of as the "movie samurai" voice.
For anime and video games, I can fill most male roles, from brooding villain to strong male protagonist, casual rakish sidekick, brooding individual in the shadows, or overwhelming evil lieutenant. I'm able to keep a distorted 'monster' voice for extended amounts of time and to various levels. The more distinctive a character's traits, the more I can flush it out.
For instructing, my voice tends to be smooth, either casual or professional.
For commercials, a gentle to wry tone; fun and exciting it is not.
Whatever the case, my voice is unmistakably male.
Apparently, my casual reading voice can sound like Tom Cruise's.

My Voice Experience

At Anime Expo 2004, I signed up to do walla for Bang Zoom Entertainment, and they used my voice throughout the anime series Planetes. I was various side characters, background chatter, and related. This was in Burbank, CA, between 2004-2005.

My Training

I attended a small academic workshop taught by Beverly Bremer, during which we read copy for one of the "flex your power" save-energy commercials. Frankly, my read was acknowledged as the best.

I've attended various panels and public workshops hosted by voice over companies and celebrities.

My Studio Equipment

I have only my computer microphone; please take this into account when listening to demos.

Additional Skills

I am an excellent reader, and have read at college level since very early in my elementary school years. This means I will pick up subtle cues in scripts, deliver lines in a tone appropriate to context, and insert sarcasm where it belongs and not where it doesn't.

I am used to being in-character - I maintain a seasonal job at Knott's Berry Farm's Halloween Haunt, the world's most successful Halloween attraction, and am in character there for eight hours a day, for a month straight. My role has been that of a seductive vampire.

Also, I have listened to many, many old-time radio dramas, and know very well what is expected of talent filling that role.
