Voice Description

My voice has been describe as "sing-songy" and "mellifluous," but I can easily be dry and straightforward. In working for a public radio station, I try to maintain a friendly/familiar tone and quality of voice. I can sound fun and exciting, though. I have acting experience and often try to change the character of my voice. I feel that I am very flexible, although the traits I've listed first seem best to describe my voice type.

My voice has been used primarily in radio. I have produced news stories using my voice and I have been used for the radio's advertisements as well.

My Training

I am a public radio personality in Bloomington, Indiana. I am currently finishing up a music degree in composition.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to professional condenser mics in sound isolated rooms. I do not own these items personally, though. I also am familiar with Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, and Pro Tools.

Additional Skills

I have written promo copy, news copy, and scripts for larger shows for the radio station I work at (wfiu.org).
