My Voice Experience
In 1993, I interned at a radio station in Corpus Christi, Texas. It was a six-month internship, and I have no tapes from it. In my work, however, I conduct training presentations for the software I support. I am also a member of Toastmasters and sing at my church. I am perfectly at home in front of a crowd. This would be my first attempt at professional voice-overs.
My Training
I have a degree in Computer Science. For that degree, I took a few speech classes, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Four years of choir in high school taught voice control, and continued singing since then has reinforced that education. I have created a few podcasts, which I mixed at home using a PC and Audacity (open-source software).
As I mentioned, I have conducted training and am a member of Toastmasters.
My Studio Equipment
My studio equipment now consists of an iMac with GarageBand. I am willing to learn as I need to.
Additional Skills
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Clay Harryman, a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi and a naval veteran of Desert Storm. Beginning in 1979, I became almost obsessed with computers, leading me to change my life goal from chemistry to computer science. The last thirty years have seen me programming, supporting, building and repairing computer hardware, software and networks.
Most recently, Mustang Engineering employed me as a Project Information Management Systems Administrator. Our two main systems tracked and stored engineering documents, allowing retrieval in-house and by clients, vendors and other interested parties. I worked closely with Project Management and clients, tailoring the systems to meet their needs.
In my spare time, I have volunteered as a prison chaplain, At church, I serve on the Praise team and Audio/Visual team. I enjoy gardening and canning, but mostly enjoy spending time with my children.
Working with people is one of life's biggest joys. It allows me to grow both personally and professionally. I look forward to the opportunity to analyze, program and support for your clients.
