Voice Description

Everyday "voice" is well spoken, medium to deep, bubbly and quite fast by nature. I mimic Australian and South African very well abd am aften asked if I originate from these places. I love to step into the character of a greek - cyriot and due to living in Cyprus for a while,mimic very well indeed. I am practicing my arabic, german, french and Irish, irish being the hardest. My voice suits a more strong, bossy character, I think, but saying that , I will try softer impersonations. Goldie Hawn is a favourite of mine, I love the dizzy blonde character and perhaps take it off too well?

My Voice Experience

At the age of three, a script was presented to my parents and they were told that i was to be the narrator for the annual school play. he fact that I hadn't mastered reading never mind narating at this delicte age was perhaps masked by the need to involve my parents, my dad in particular, with the school, no doubt due to his regular appearance on day to day television. Throughout different schools, this continued, I would present book evenings & narrate plays. After having nothing to do with the industry for many years, it is now that I wish to renew my acquaintance with the entertainment world. I look forward to the future......

My Training

A Well known cooking programme, assisting a top chef in preperation and presentation of various dishes all the time being aware of different cameras and working to a comedy sketch. The chef was David Landon and at one time enjoyed celebrity status due to being on tv every night. The studio was the home kitchen and David was my dad, a well known voice over artist, tv actor and script writer for bbc. He was my teacher and I now seek a tutor/mentor and will keep looking around until I find my teacher.

Additional Skills

I have concentrated in working more behind the scenes as make up artist and photographer up till now, in a rebellious attempt to break the chain of drama school and commercial work which seemed to be my destiny due to growing up in the industry and having very succesful parents in this area andof course friends of family who had daughters who, in turn had become , very successful. I trained as photog and make up artist, working freelance, behind the scenes around the world, but the natural generic desire and apptitude to perform unashamably rose from the ashes demanding attention. I joined a few extra agencies & did a few reality tv shows where I was able to TALK on camera for delicious amounts of time and revel in the compliments that naturally come afterwards, after being on the tv, magazine shoot ect. I have now started up a small talent agency of my own,its harder and not as rewarding as I had envisaged and consequently have started to promote "MYSELF"
I love working with my voice and am thankful of my gift, but recognise that in this industry, it is not wise to sit still for too long and instead, maximise spare time with improving skills to date and treating life as a learning curve, there is always someone to learn from and keep the fire alive.
