I am good at straight-sounding narrations, i.e. Stock Market. As a trained singer, have a variety of speaking ranges. Recorded/was paid for a BofA radio commercial, but it was cancelled. Have my Demo at Disney Animation. Love doing voice-over work. Am with Casting Networks and Casting Frontier with Commercials Unlimited as my Agent.
Two years College. UCLA Extension in Film Production, Acting, Singing/Voice classes. Many Voice classes and seminars with VO Professionals.
VO Workshops from Marc Graue, Leigh French, Kathy Kelmonson, Dolores Diehl, etc., over the years.
Began VO/looping voices on H5O for "fun"; joined SAG and did all female voice replacements. POLICE WOMAN shot on same lot, did their Dispatcher and Airline PA, etc. With an ADR VO Group for 30 years, while working in TV and Film Productions, on which our Group did all the ADR and Looping.
At this time I am only concentrating on Voice Over work and Commercials, free-lancing.
I record at home in an insulated recording booth with a microphone, and export the work on the computer via Audacity/MP3.
When needed or requested, I travel to a sound studio and audition, or record there.
I was the Female Announcer for KCET Public Television for THREE months (480 Women auditioned)while the Male Announcer, Joe Yokum, recovered from surgery.
Took singing lessons in my teens; auditioned for the LA Civic Light Opera, (Broadway Musicals); Did Summer Stock.
UCLA summer musical series, Carrie in CAROUSEL, and Children's Musical Theater: "STEADFAST TIN SOLDIER" @ UCLA.
Always worked in television and film production, traveled on location, managed to still continue with the voice-over work.
