Voice Description

I have a flexible voice that can go from a Southern Belle to a British accent in the space of a breath, although I have a naturally un-accented voice (like newscasters do). I am also a singer who has been classically trained.

My Voice Experience

My experience ranges from live readings to reading testimonials behind-the-scenes. In a live reading of "The Cat in the Hat," the third graders I was reading to burst into spontaneous applause when I was finished. My musicial experience spans over 20 years of solo, background vocal, ensemble, and choir work.

My Training

My training begain as a singer. I have had several years of private lessons, and have learned breath support as a result, which is necessary in voiceover work. I started getting interested about voiceover work after a couple of successful reading experiences.

My Studio Equipment

I use Audacity for my mixing, and have a Rode podcaster mic.

Additional Skills

I have some training as a nurse, although I didn't pursue it as a career. I also took some bookkeeping classes, and was an Accounts Receivables clerk for over a decade before being promoted to Accounting Supervisor. After 2 years of doing that, my family and I moved out of state, and now I am able to devote my time to being a voiceover artist.
