Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I speak fluent Spanish, although with a "Gringa" accent. I can pronounce all Spanish words and phrases fluently and smoothly...even Mexican dialects such as Nauatle.

My Voice Experience

Although beginning my voice over career in Florida some twenty years ago, I have been living in Mexico City since 1995. Since my arrival, I have been earning my living here as a native English speaking voice talent. Corporate videos, radio announcing, and U.S. commercials produced in Mexico make up most of my work. Since 1992, I have voiced promos for Televisa's (Latin America's largest television broadcaster) cable channel "American Network", aired on Sky and Mexico's Cablevision. Recent U.S. commercial work includes a :60 spot for Pond's (produced by Ogilvy Mather Mexico for Ogilvy New York), and a Nestle children's milk promotion for Corporate Nestle, Switzerland. Another on-going account is The Government of Mexico's Department of Tourism in conjunction with AeroMexico and various U.S. travel agencies (NWA World Vacations, Liberty Travel) through ad agency Y Partnership in Orlando, Florida to promote Mexican tourism through tv and radio ads throughout the U.S. and Canada.

My union affiliates are AFTRA and SAG, but my status with both is official leave of absence.

My Training

Graduate of Florida State U., with a Performing Arts Bachelor's Degree in Theater. My first two years of college were spent at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Tx., as a Performing Arts major in Theater.

In Miami, I took many voice over, acting and improv workshops and seminars over a ten year period.

BUT...on the job training has been my greatest teacher.

Mac Pro, MBox, AKG BXL 414 mic, Protools, with access to a nearby ISDN studio.

Additional Skills

I'll only add varied "life experience" of living cross-culturally, and a mysterious (to me!) recurring pattern of people having the impression that I'm an knowledgeable insider in organizations and groups that I've only had a passing acquaintance with.
