In college I worked as a DJ at my college radio station (WSJU 685 AM) and also worked at WLIR 92.3 FM recording promotions. After working for many years since then as an actor, I returned to straight voiceover work last year and have since been featured as a series regular on the ION network cartoon My Lil' World that is currently in development. In addition to that role I recently recorded a :60 radio spot for Union Savings Bank, the offscreen voice for a webisode for Jazz Productions and the telephony for Ingenious Group.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications from St. John's University as well as a Master's in Theater from Hunter College. I have studied acting at the Gene Frankel workshop, taken classes with Sande Shurin and studied Meisner for one year with Larry Silverberg. I have taken vocal workshops with Dr. Christopher Arneson, Susan Berkley, and David Goldberg of Edge Studios. I have also studied voiceover technique privately with Bruce Bayley Johnson, who produced my demos.
I have a small recording area with sound proofing, one MXL microphone, Audacity, access to an ISDN line, and a phone patch.
My work over the past ten years has included directing and actor coaching, as well as running my own acting studio. I have a long history as a performer and keen acting skills that help me to bring a script to life, take direction well and deliver exactly what the client wants. I also worked for many years in television production so I understand the needs of the people producing the job. I am very flexible, professional, and pleasant to work with.
