Voice Description

My voice is quite versatile. It can be slow and methodical for technical narration. I can maintain a warm and inviting professionalism for business presentations or phone systems. On the other hand I can use my voice to convey a sense of urgency as well, and to motivate the listener.

If needed, I can morph the voice into a variety of character types, including but not limited to... pirate, loudmouth, sarcastic-man, buffoon, Mr. Excitement, Mr. Disappointment, etc.

Having lived in both the northern midwest (Wisconsin) and the southeastern United States (Georgia and western Florida), as well as Nova Scotia, I can express those dialects at will.

I also have experience with the German language and can maintain a German accent while speaking English.

My Voice Experience

THE BULK OF MY WORK IS IN THE FIELD OF AUDIO RECORDING, MASTERING AND EDITING.

The ability to use my voice has been honed over years of experience in military aviation (worldwide), commercial aviation, public speaking, teaching (music and audio), and church activity.

I have lots of stage experience (mostly as a musical performer, but also some theatre), and as a live sound mixer have announced hundreds of acts.

My Training

The only formal education received in this area was a few college acting classes, and instructor training in the USN.

The bulk of my "training" has occurred through experience in the Navy as a pilot and instructor, in theatre, in music and in audio production and recording.
