Voice Description

Associates describe my voice as having deep timbre and authority. I can be serious or I can be fun. I like narration but also enjoy doing many character voices, especially deep and raspy like the stereotypical pirate or Marine Corps drill instructor. My Norwegian heritage allows me to do a Scandanavian accent.

My Voice Experience

Born in California but raised in North Dakota and Montana. Won Best Actor award at interscholastic play festival during high school and was selected as Senior Speaker for the high school. Was a an announcer on KXXL radio while attending graduate school at Montana State University. For the last 30 years I have served as instructor and speaker at various seminars. I have re-entered forensics with ads for Weyerhaeuser and Credit Suisse, and appeared in title role of the play "Saving Harry".

My Training

Being often complimented on my voice, I sought the guidance of a professional voice coach. The local SAG office directed me to Veronica Weikel for voice and Valerie Mamches for acting. I studied under both for over a year. During high school I appeared in many plays and was on the debate team.
