Voice Description

If I had to describe my voice , the best description would be Southern. I have watched many movies where actors tried to capture the Southern twang and never quite convinced me they were from the South. I also have attitude and sass to my voice that could be construed as emanating from a teenager. I have been told that I sound much younger than I am but I think that is more due to the 80' and 90's dialect I can't seem to let go off. I can be humorous when given the right script but my humor is best presented as a biting, quick wit.
Although I cannot speak another language, I can change my dialect or accent if need be.

My Voice Experience

Basically, I have no formal experience. However, I have been told I haven't shut up since learning to talk. So, with the gift of gab, why not get something out of it. That is where you come in. Again, formally I have never used my voice for finanacial profit but have profited from throwing my voice on many an occasion.

My Training

I did take a speech class in college and have been familiarized with public speaking in that aspect. Other than that, I have no formal experience but hope that my voice will carry me to attain the experience.

Additional Skills

My current profession demands proper grammar and I deal with many dialects and pronounciation inaccuracies on a daily basis. Although I do not use speech in my current job, I do listen to someone else talk and have to transcribe what they say all day long. I transcribe a variety of ethnicities from all walks of life. I believe this is an added skill that most people don't get. Learning to mimic these voices is an additional asset.
