Voice Description

My voice is best described as able to do almost anything. My best skills lie in character voices and impressions but I am also adept at narration, especially when calling for a Peter Coyote style.

When I step out of the box, I'm able to do do exciting, fun narration and perform unique voice over acting going so far as to hit the monster truck fringe if needed.

Most of all, my voice and mind combine to take direction incredibly well. Often, I surprise myself once I rehearse what a director specifically wants. I am a voice talent that goes above and beyond and has lots of fun in the process.

My Voice Experience

I have extensive radio experience going back to 1996. I have hosted three seperate radio shows ranging from classic rock, techno, interview/talk, to radio acting. During this time I have recorded countless advertisements, underwriting spots, public service announcements, creative station identifications, and much more.

I have done narrative voice over for FOX Sports Net and Time Life, including syndicated shows like Core Culture and High Octane.

I also have a great deal of acting experience dating to 1991. This has included stage, television, film, and radio.

My Training

My voice over training started in 1991 when I immersed myself in acting. After four years of exclusively theatre, I set my sights on radio. This honed my skills behind a microphone and I continued doing radio for almost ten years. During this time I became adept at audio production and station management.

I studied Speech Communication at Southern Oregon University and Portland State University. I also studied social sciences, theatre, journalism and history. I attended the IBS Radio convention in New York in 2002 and chaired the KPSU pledge drive in 2003.
