My Training

I began my voice acting career early on in high school, volunteering for Reading for the Blind And Dyslexic, a non-profit that handled recording textbooks (science, math, history, etc) for special needs children. Frequent stints on stage and in the theater expanded my vocal skills as I adapted to different characters and environments.

I graduate college from California Lutheran University with a degree in Music Composition and Recording Technologies, so I not only know how to narrate, I know how to record as well. During school I played extensively as a guitarist and pianist, and trained as an opera singer, joining up with the University Choir and Kingsmen Male Vocal Quartet. I starred in a production of "Three Penny Opera" at the Thousand Oaks Civics Arts Plaza as the unscrupulous Mr. Peachum.

Currently I'm beginning the second year of my Masters in Music Composition at NYU. I have a part time internship at NTDTV, a Manhattan based news station, as a reporter, host, narrator/voice over artist, script writer, and audio engineer.

I've also had my compositions performed as far away as Spain and Rome.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to several professional recording studios at NYU and NTDTV, but since that is a lot of gear, mostly for use in recording professional musicians, I'll describe some of the more basic equipment I have at my disposal for voice overs.

I have access to Schoeps Cardiod microphones, Neuman U87s, the standard array of Shure microphones. I use Apogee Ensemble Multi Chanel Firewire Audio Interface and typically record with Adobe Soundbooth Pro, although I do have the latest Digital Performer, ProTools, and Logic. I use an Avalon preamp. I also have numerous Parametric EQ's, reverb effects, echo, delays, digital compressors and limiters, etc.
