Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Well-spoken middle-class woman (many types - Tory stiff-upper-lip, Sloane, worried mother, soft and gentle), several children's/early teenage voices (boy and girl, posh and Cockney accents), high "aesthetic" man's voice, softly spoken Cockney man's voice, older woman's voice (can be booming or croaky, with posh and Cockney accents), old man's voice reminiscent of Kenneth Williams, English spoken with Somerset, Welsh and German accents (male and female), camp male voice, all voices from Just William, Swallows & Amazons. Good singing voice, can be sweet and piping or sing cabaret style.

My Voice Experience

Recording for own pleasure - but feel have a marketable talent: quirky poetry with sound effects (including creating sound effects from scratch), own original songs, excerpts from "Just William", "Swallows & Amazons".

My Training

I have been recording "voiceovers" for pleasure since childhood (particularly children's books), and my impressions of various characters or personalities have successfully amused or fooled many! I have also recorded CDs of songs/poems in a studio environment.

My Studio Equipment

I work with a producer experienced in voiceover work (using ProTools, effect libraries etc.), whom I also use for recording my own songs (quirky pop).

Additional Skills

Play mandolin, guitar and keyboard; write, record and perform songs on regular basis; author (of art instruction books published by A & C Black, amateur science articles on Web, quirky poems); was teacher, am good presenter and raconteuse; was botanical artist, now do fashion design and illustration work.
