My Short Biography
I have enjoyed a theatrical career spanning two and a half decades. Raised in New York City as what's known as a "Theatre Brat" by my father, Mitch Hogue - a comedian, playwright, actor, director, producer, and visual artist. This lifestyle is the foundation of my years and years of experience and knowledge in the business of Theatre.
When I entered high school I immediately earned starring roles culminating in an award for "Best Actress" which encouraged me to apply and audition for one of 12 spots in the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I spent one semester at AADA and decided I needed a more liberal college education. I believe this was a better approach to going into "The Business".
Franklin Pierce College in the beautiful New England state of New Hampshire gave me the precise education I was looking for. I built every set I performed on and learned every aspect of theatre production necessary. I was cast in incredible roles and every performance earned me an entry into the American College Theatre Festival where I won two Semi-Finalist Acting Awards, two Finalist Acting Awards, one Best Acting Partner Award, one Best Ensemble Award, one Honorable Mention for Performance Award and one Alternate Award.
I have had the unique opportunity as an actor to work with Robert Lawson (writer, director, producer, brilliant genius extraordinaire; What Goes Up). He created unique new works for exploratory endeavors that encouraged and pushed me beyond my safe limits. Combined with classical theatre and other art forms, this expansive foundation for my theatrical training has gained me the unique abilities of taking huge risks, thinking outside the box, and the ability to take even the most bizarre direction imaginable and turning these into solid, exciting, and interesting performances.
Although Theatre is the most important and vast aspect of my life it is not the only component of my lifelong work load. I started my working life as a busser at the age of 14. Since then, I have worked in the customer service industry for 18 years most of which were in positions and roles of leadership. Management, Independent Contractor, and Co-Owner are just a few of the titles I've enjoyed over the years.
I came to the mid-west to be closer to my mother and grandparents after September 11th saw the shutting down of Broadway plays and many an actor out of work. Upon arriving, I found the tri-state area a ripe place for entering into the community theatre. Shortly after working with several of the local theatre companies, my sister Jen Hogue and I founded HogueMade Productions and produced a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues for The Riverview Center, inc. We produced, directed, starred in, handled the PR, Marketing, and all other business aspects of this production. The two performances sold out and raised $30,000.
I continue to work in voice over, theatre, film and television with guest appearances on the radio. It is my ultimate goal to enjoy a long career as an actor in Chicago and live happily with my children.

Additional Skills
I have had a career in Acting and Voice Over since I graduated from College in 2000. I earned a third of my income from acting and voice over endeavors in the tri-state area of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. This is considered trailblazing. Nobody living in Dubuque past or present can make such a claim. I am Google-able and you can find me voraciously marketing my work through such Social Marketing vehicles as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Buzz.
I am an award winning actress holding two Addy Awards, one Top Fifteen Addy Award, and one Telly Award for my acting work in the commercials as well as my Creative Consultation on the projects. My studies as a Theatre Major with a Concentration in Acting at Franklin Pierce University (then College) earned me a Best Actress (Partner) Award, two Finalist, two Semi-Finalist, four Dramatic Duo, and one Dramatic Prose Awards at the American College Theatre Festival and Lincoln Douglas Competitions.
