My Training
I never studied to become a voice-over...i was lucky ....i fell into it... at what proved to be the tail-end of my singing career. Thank goodness the guitarist broke a string at a show.. 1989 in New York City and i was forced to tell a joke, keeping the audience engaged while equiptment problems were being remedied. Later during our set break, a voice over agent bravely waded throught the crowd in the dressing room to hand me his card and ask me if i ever thought of voice-overs ........i wasn't really sure what he was talking about....but a month later i finally had a day job that put me in front of a microphone (comfortably) and actually paid me....unlike the music business.....LOL

Additional Skills
i have always prided myself on understanding just what purpose i am serving when i am picked to voice a commercial, a promo, a narration, etc.......and the key word is service.........i won't leave the booth until the buyer is completely satisfied that their idea and intentions are captured on tape...or how ever they record it these days......i suppose digitally into a computer.........but most of all I am in the service business and of course strive for excellence and aim to please.
